While things like streaming things like Spotify or Netflix can play fine, this is very different to a live two-way telephone call where any delay (latency) can cause problems with Quality of Service (QoS).

      • While you can run a vtalk extension from any internet connection, we strongly recommend using our business grade solutions to get the best experience. By using another provider we cannot guarantee the connection quality or assist with connectivity issues. Most problems experienced by end users relates to a problem on with the local network or the internet connection. By using a third party you will need to troubleshoot with them directly before contacting vtalk for network issues, and any services required by vtalk because of third party interruptions may be chargeable at the standard hourly rate.

        1. Your vtalk cloud is a subscription service provided via an encrypted connection over the internet. It requires a dedicated minimum 50/50kbps per simultaneous call on a fixed line internet connection. Call quality can be affected by network configuration and congestion.

        2. Porting existing telephone numbers is subject to approval from the losing carrier, and depends on the previous service configuration. Complex porting can take up to 3 months to finalise and may require the account holder to liaise with third parties.
